Your time is coming!
posted by Laura, November 12, 2009 @ 5:42 pmLiving in Nashville can be challenging as a musician…particularly as a Christian musician. The lure of fame & fortune has ruined many artists, Country and Christian a like. It’s funny - after watching the CMA Awards last night, I was reminded again how fickle the world is, how fame is fleeting, and how pride and jealousy are the stuff of a destroyed life.
Let’s look at Taylor Swift, which, to many in the music industry, is a sort of unexplainable phenomenon . They make up stories that belittle her accomplishments, thinking that in some way this reflects positively on their “greater” talent, their “greater” perseverance, their “greater” greatness. Bologna!
Don’t you realize that Christ has freed us from the tyranny of ourselves, and that freedom from “self” can give us the opportunity to truly rejoice in others’ accomplishments. This concept is more far reaching than entertainment, it lends itself to situations with your coworkers, within your family, and even amongst your closest friends.
As Christians, every opportunity to make Christ in you shine through is an opportunity to demonstrate kingdom principals that completely defy the way the world responds to situations that might drive people to their worst. But it always frees us from the gnawing feelings of jealousy and fear that come from the enemy himself.
God has a beautiful plan for your life, one that is completely unlike that path that others are taking around you. Perhaps your talent or skill is greater than those that are receiving greater notoriety than you in this moment, but take heart, God is doing something different in you, something that is building your character, growing you deeper in Him, and preparing you for a great reward – be it in this life, or the next.
Stay the course, remain faithful, and truly rejoice in others successes. I promise, it will make your own success sweeter, and friend, your time is coming!

Laura,
Thanks for your own perseverance and words of encouragement. Here is a note that I just passed on to my minister of “Worship Arts” (Music) at Church of the Savior in Wayne, PA. Our church tends not to do concerts for outside talents, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on this particular email. However, I also copied numerous others, so this one note will be viewed by over 50 others. Lord Bless you.

Ron,
I just wanted to drop you a brief note asking you to consider inviting this “noteworthy” Christian Music artist to our church so that she might entertain and inspire us with her Godly lyrics and refreshing melodies. I dropped off her latest music CD in your office during the Easter season. You were very busy at that point, so I left the CD with your receptionist and told her that she should also feel free to listen to it. I hoped that she would pass it along to you, so that you could listen to it when your schedule became less busy.
We could invite nearby churches to fellowship with us for this event. I think that Laura still gives free concerts, but I know that she is rising in the eyes of The Lord and also the Music community as well; so she may soon begin to charge for her appearances. She is a breath of fresh air during these times when the god of this age surrounds us with pervasive worldly distractions, deceit, and lies. She is especially appreciated by younger audiences, but her lyrics are such that she appeals across the complete Christian spectrum of age groups.
I have been to her concerts over the last three (3) years, and have spoken to her many times, albeit very briefly. She is worthy of our support, and I believe that our members and nearby churches are worthy recipients of her music ministry. So, once again I encourage Church of the Savior to invite this amazing young artist to our church at least once per year. I would be glad to act as a coordinator for this event. Just let me know where I can help.
Who am I? – I am currently blessed to help with and sometimes teach the 9:30 SS for the 5-year-olds. Last year I assisted with the same class when they were 4-year-olds. My wife and I have attended COS for over 10 years, and although we are not members, we donate on a regular basis. I also occasionally maintain a website which might shed some additional light on by background.

Laura Kaczor Biography – Part 2
If thoughts are “spiritual things”; if words are “conveyances of” those spiritual things; and if Christian Music is a conveyance of Christ’s Spirit colored by notes, mathematically coherent melodies, and harmonies both pleasing, and inspiring; then Laura has become a beautiful, joyous, and spiritual fountain of “Living Water” overflowing into the air that surrounds us. Her music is imbued with the Spiritual Essence of “The Word”, Jesus Christ, our Lord, and our Redeemer.
Lord Bless You.
